Northern Electric Cooperative has partnered with Touchstone Energy to conduct a market research study to better understand how co-op members heat their homes during the winter months. This research is part of Touchstone Energy’s ‘Front Porch Forum’ project and will be conducted from April 18 to May 2.

Northern Electric members may receive a formal email between April 18 - April 25 asking for their participation in the research. This email will come from the manager of the project, Scott Saff, on behalf of Touchstone Energy. Members will only be contacted by email and will NOT receive phone calls as part of this study. Participation in the study is voluntary and will require a time commitment of around 30-45 minutes from each member. Members who participate in the research will receive a $25 electronic Amazon gift card.

Members will be asked various questions about the primary heating fuel used in their homes, the type of heating equipment they use in their homes, and their experiences with heat pumps.

The ‘Front Porch Forum’ research is a new type of online research that allows small groups of co-op members to participate in discussions about various topics impacting their co-op.

Members who have any questions about this research project should contact Northern Electric Cooperative directly at 605-225-0310.
