The Northern Electric Cooperative Board of Directors has elected three new officers following its September meeting.

Donna Sharp of Bath, who represents District 5, was re-elected to serve as president. Sharp was elected to serve her third term on the board during the 2019 Annual Meeting. She has been serving as the president of the board of directors since 2017.

Nolan Wipf was elected to serve as the new vice president of the Northern Electric Board of Directors. Wipf takes over as the vice president after serving as secretary of the board. Wipf is from Hitchcock and also serves as Northern Electric’s representative on the statewide South Dakota Rural Electric Association (SDREA) Board of Directors.

Directors elected Ron Kaaz to serve as the new secretary of the co-op board. Kaaz is currently serving his first term after he was seated on the board in 2018. Kaaz is from rural Aberdeen and represents members in District 3.

Josh Larson of Columbia was elected as the Northern Electric Cooperative Board of Directors Treasurer. Larson was elected to the board in 2017 and is also currently serving his first term. Larson represents members in District 4.
