Want to learn how electricity gets from the power plant to your home? Join us on a Northern Electric and Lake Region joint members-only tour of the Basin Electric Power Cooperative facilities in North Dakota.
Tour the facilities, mines, and generating units near Bismarck North Dakota which produce the electricity you receive from Northern Electric Cooperative. A commercial bus will be used for transportation.
Tour stops include Basin Electric headquarters, Wilton Wind, Synfuels Plant, Antelope Valley Station, Freedom Mine, and the Lewis and Clark Riverboat dinner event.
Cost: FREE
The trip is funded by Northern Electric Cooperative. Funding for the trip covers each participant’s transportation, lodging (double occupancy), meals, entertainment and sight-seeing events. Members are required to supply their own personal/shopping money.
Tour Rules:
- All Northern Electric Cooperative members, even those who have gone on the tour in the past, are eligible to attend. Preference will be given to members who have never gone before.
- Registrants must be current member-consumers of Northern Electric Cooperative to be eligible.
- Attendees may bring an accompanying partner of their choice on the trip.
- Tour has no redeemable cash value.
- In the event an attendee cannot go on the trip, Northern Electric staff will select another participant. All eligibility rules still apply.
