Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP): 1-800-233-8503
The Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) provides financial compensation for households to pay heating bills.
It is important for Northern Electric Cooperative members to understand that LIEAP does not pay the full cost of a family's utility bill. However, the program is designed to assist families who might otherwise be unable to pay the full cost of heating their homes. Funds for LIEAP are distributed on a first-come basis for meter readings from October 1-May 15.
